My husband and I are in the process of building our family home north of Atlanta, GA, and most of our spare time is spent in the mountains of Western North Carolina at my family’s 1800’s historic farmhouse. The Farm is not only my favorite place to be, but also my husband’s and kids’ as well.
As parents, isn’t it our goal to really cultivate a space that our children love to come home to, one that is inviting of community, fellowship, and that serves as birthplace of lifelong memories? This is what the Farm is for us, and my goal is to bottle up those sentiments and make sure that they’re present in the new farmhouse we’re building.
Creating a beautiful home is so much more than having Instagram worthy design (which, is also super important to me!), but about creating a space that reflects the lives of those who live there and tells their story. Our story begins at The Farm, so that’s mostly what you’ll see when I’m sharing what inspires me as we journey down this road (and until we’re no longer homeless!).
My prayer is that every time you pop into the blog, you’ll leave here with a spoonful of inspiration and a little boost of confidence to find your own style and create a space that is all your own, one that tells your story and no one else’s. I hope you’ll share that story with me too!
Please come back and see me whenever you have a minute, my door is always open! Here you’ll find all things home and lifestyle, with a splash of motherhood to keep things interesting. Hope to see you back soon!
